GLS Administrative Staff

Joleen Howard-Browne (Director)

Joleen has held the position of Center Director since 2004. She has a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, a Director’s License issued by the Texas Dept. of Child and Family Services, and maintains a minimal of 30 hours of annual professional training.

 

Joleen and her family moved from Southern California to Texas in 2003 after traveling the country for two years in a 38ft. motor home. To this position Joleen brings the experience of raising four children of her own as well as her background as a Licensed Family Counselor for fifteen years in California.

 

The school has now grown to its full capacity of 200 children and a staff of 40 employees. Ministering to the needs of young families is by far the most challenging and rewarding career she could have imagined.

 

Joleen lives at the edge of the Sam Houston forest with her husband and five dogs.

Angela St. Julien (Assistant Director)

Angela is a new addition to the Grace Administrative team. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science and History, and has successfully completed her Director’s Credentials which includes over 50 hours of annual professional training in early child-care and education.

 

Angela and her family moved to the Montgomery County area after living in 13 previous locations while her husband has been in service to the Federal Government. After volunteering at Grace for the past 2 years she has accepted God’s call to serve in our administration.

 

Angela and her husband live in Montgomery with their two children and are members of Grace Lutheran Church.

Vicky Rooney (Bookkeeper)

Vicky is an original employee of our school holding a variety of positions including two year old teacher, food service manager, and Assistant Director. She is currently the master of our bookkeeping position, in charge of tuition and payroll for our thriving center.

 

You can’t miss the warm smile and hospitality that Vicky provides as you walk into our Family Life Center. Though you are most likely to see Vicky in the front office as you enter the lobby, she is always on the go, providing administrative support, taking care of the School’s financials, and taking care of a multitude of other obligations.

 

She is the backbone of our extremely successful Annual School Festival, putting countless hours and endless energy into coordinating and leading this yearly celebration.

 

Vicky lives in Walden with her husband, two daughters, a couple cats and Bella, her dog.

Nichole Aaron (Administrative Assistant)

Nichole has been working at Grace for the past 10 years. She has worked her way from teacher’s aide to lead teacher, and now as the Administrative Assistant for Grace Lutheran School. Nichole is currently pursuing her CDA and has big plans for her future with Grace.

When she is not at Grace she is spending time with her Husband of almost three years and other friends and family as well.
